With the recent unveiling of iOs 7 by Apple in WWDC 2013, I’m confused. Trying to make sense of the user interface and pulling out my hair. After a day’s usage of the OS myself (on iPhone 4 - notice the lack of sexiness they have in store for me), I have comeup with these categories of images that “somewhat” make sense.
Seems like 7 different designers worked on the icon set for the upcoming release of iOS, iOs 7. Also, it is evident that they were provided a framework to work inside, yet they had their own creativity to follow.
However, I must admit that when viewing the icons in a particular category, they do look nice and consistent - however, in the default configuration of icons in the home screen - its not the case.
let’s see what next versions bring.
Essentially basic, yet consistent set of Icons - if put this way.
Even though there is no correlation between the two apps, the icons do look similar. The original mail icon in iOs 6 had sky in the background. Yet the gradients don’t match.
Beautiful set of icons. Consistent and appropriate. Down to bare essentials again like “communication” set of icons.
Several flaws, but my mind could chunk these together - however, game center does not below here. The icon safari icon has been committed blasphemy with and Calendar is not very readable.
It fails my where there has to be a reverse gradient on the AppStore icon.
A set of random icons that don’t fit in any category. Newsstand Icon is the most hideous one. Contacts is technically wrong (because you hardly ever have color coded tabs in a contacts diary).
And finally, Settings, Camera and Notes (with respect to all others). Hmm… where do we place them?
